Tooth coloured restorations
Silver fillings are a thing of the past – gain a virtually invisible filling with tooth coloured restorations!
Comprising of silica, quartz and fine glass particles blended to a paste-like consistency, a tooth coloured filling when placed on the surface of your teeth is sculpted and polished to match your surrounding natural teeth for a beautiful, complete smile.
Their strength and natural appearance has led to tooth coloured restorations becoming our most popular procedure at Smile Dynamics.
What to expect during your appointment…
During your consultation, we will discuss your desired outcome and develop a detailed treatment programme. We invite you to ask any questions and raise any concerns you may have, as we want you to be confident and comfortable that you have all the information you need relating to every aspect of your treatment, so you can make an informed decision.
Following the careful preparation of your teeth, the composite material is applied in layers and set hard by a specially developed curing light. Several layers may be placed depending on the tooth being restored. Once the ideal shape has been achieved, the tooth is sculpted and polished, giving your tooth a natural appearance and you a beautiful new smile.
Our tooth coloured fillings are strong and durable, and will help to prevent any further damage or decay from occurring. Be sure to take good care of them by brushing and flossing as you normally would!
- Porcelain Inlays or Onlays:
If your tooth has had an extensive or large restoration in the past or is cracked or badly decayed at the moment, the a porcelain inlay or onlay is recommended as it allows for a stronger final result and less risk of future tooth fracture.
The advantages of a porcelain material are excellent aesthetics, high strength and a more predictable longevity.
